Mike Adams cancer

Greetings,  This is Pattie, Mikes wife.  Some you may not be aware of our current situation, so I’ll fill you in. 

 Last year, Mike was having some concerning health issues.   I finally made him go to the Dr’s. He then got referred to a Specialist who found a tumor in his bladder. His surgery to remove the tumor was only supposed to take 45minutes but 4 hours later,  I knew something wasn’t right.

  The Surgeon said that the tumor had grown significantly and spread to his muscle tissue since the last time saw him 2 weeks prior… On December 16th, 2021 is when he got diagnosed with bladder cancer ( yes, one week before Christmas). The timing of it all was a very difficult thing to process. Especially when it came time to tell our kids and family.  His last day of work was December 31st, 2021. We had no insurance and very little savings.. the hospital bills were piling up and the other bills definitely don’t just go away.

We finally got approved for insurance last month.. Currently he is getting his treatment At UNC. Chemo and radiation 5x’s a week for 6 weeks. He’s on week two and it has already taken a toll on him.        

I’ve summed up the medical bills that we owe and our bills in general for the next 6 weeks. I know it’ll probably take more than that for him to recover but I’m just taking it one step at a time.  

  The people in our lives have really stepped up and I want to thank you for your support.  Please keep us in your prayers and send your good vibrations. I have faith we will beat this, I have no doubt..  It’s watching  your loved one suffer, and always in so much pain..  that part right there, please pray for strength for our family as well… Thank you sincerely,
