Mikayla’s Dream Fundraiser

My Grandaughter Mikayla Dorwart turned 21 on July 4th, 2022. An incredible girl who has done everything right in life. Never taking for herself, always giving to others. She wanted to be a social worker, to help others. Her first and only semester of college, she was on the Deans list. But being diagnosed with adrenaline gland cancer, which there is no known cure, she knew her time would be too limited to pursue a career. She has excelled in spite of her limitations to the management at the Roadhouse Saloon, restaurant in Harrisburg Pennsylvania where she still works full time. Even with her cancer spreading and her pain manageable only with morphine and chemo treatments that will be ongoing for the rest of her life. She shows up for work and does the best job she can. Her final big dream is to marry a very wonderful boy-Shane Naugle. He has stayed by her side, while others his age are enjoying youthful life events. Her wedding date is September 18th, 2022. And honeymoon in France starting September 24th for a week.

I am asking friends and friends of friends to help Mikayla with her Cinderella dream. Every donation- large or small will help her enjoy a week of laughter and fun on her honeymoon. Maybe she will have a nicer dinner out while in France without worry about having enough funds from for something that she might bring her joy. The Doctor said Mikayla is riddled with cancer. Even with the ongoing chemo, the cancer is winning. They have done all they know how to do, but it isn’t enough. Mikayla is just a young girl, she won’t have a chance of having long term dreams. Please help her with this one, a fabulous carefree week to enjoy. Please share Mikayla’s journey with others. She deserves this week of happiness. And pray that somewhere beyond the limitations of earthly hands there can still be a miracle found for Mikayla.
