Please Help with Mikayla's Tuition

Hi, I am Mike Monaghan and if you know me you have heard about my daughter Mikayla. She got interested  in makeup when she was 11 and in the 6th grade.

The older she got the more passionate she became.  She got involved with doing makeup for the Drama program at her grade school. She made her own Youtube page where she would give makeup tutorials.

Around that time she started dreaming about becoming a Professional Makeup Artist.

When she started high school at Fremont High in Sunnyvale she already had a reputation for her makeup skills. She was known as the "Makeup Girl".  Even other schools in the district heard about her.  She also had several write ups in her school paper about makeup trends.

Other then just applying makeup on herself she was always helping her friends with their makeup needs.

In HS she acomplished something we are very proud of. She won all 4 years as "Most Scariest Costume"at the annual Halloween Costume contest.



She also did some Body painting.

In 2011 a show called "Face Off" started airing on the Syfy network. It's a competition about doing Special Effects (Movie)makeup. She would watch the show then try to do many the makeups that were done.

She really enjoyed learning and applying the makeup. Over years of practice she became really good at the art so  it was decided that we were going to get her into movie/TV makeup. This is her webpage:

She also took a local class for "Old Age" makeup.

Many of the competitors on "Face Off" have attended CMS and one of the judges "Ve Neill" who has 3 Oscars is a teacher there.

Last year she attended CMS's "Summer Special FX Boot Camp". We made a GoFundme page to help with tuition and many of my friends donated.  We are very thankful for everyone who helped .

I have been Saving funds for a while to put towards her education but I'm short. I'm currently on Workers Comp and can't work because of a back injury which occured my last job.  I really want her dreams to come true so with part of the funds I've saved I got her an apartment  for 6 months. It's in North Hollywood which is near CMS and is close to all the studios where she'll be working. Getting the apartment was a struggle because I don't have the best credit score and am only on Workers Comp which isnt much.  With your help I know we can get enough to complete her enrollment.
