This page is for Mikaela Simone Wilson, a wonderful, funny, witty and super-smart, 23 year old English teacher, who has been unresponsive since June 11, 2017. She suffered from a cerebral edema (brain swelling) which damaged her brain. According to her doctors, the fact that she survived is a miracle in itself. However, we need a miracle to help her overcome her current challenges.

Although Mikaela is out of the hospital, she is currently in a semi-coma and remains unresponsive. She is breathing on her own with a tracheostomy and is being fed through a gastronomy tube in her stomach. She is 100% dependent and requires 24/7 care from her parents.

In her current state, she cannot enjoy any of the traditional gifts like flowers and stuffed animals. So ... in lieu of traditional gifts, YOU CAN HELP by offsetting some of the medical costs incurred from an extended 8 week hospital stay, primarily in an intensive care neurological unit, and the day-to-day living expenses for her continued medical care.  Rest assured, 100% of all donations will go directly to Mikaela’s family.  All levels are appreciated and every dollar counts!
