Challenge 4 a Cause - Africa

Charles Schultz once said of people turning 40: "Just remember, once you're over the hill you begin to pick up speed".
In June 2016, this 41 year Frenchy will definitely be going over the hill...and picking up speed. But this time, it will be to raise money for 2 great causes an 3 wonderful organizations.

Save The Rhino Trust: Save The Rhino Trust Namibia protects the highly endangered desert adapted black rhino population in the Damaraland region of Namibia. It is the largest free ranging black rhino population in the wild. SRT has provided consistent patrolling and monitoring of black rhino over the last 25 years and they require funds for their anti poaching units.

Wildlife ACT Fund: The Wildlife ACT Fund is a non profit company and requires funds for the development of new anti-poaching technologies, the implementation of long-term monitoring programs of endangered species and community outreach initiatives.

Good Work Foundation: The Good Work Foundation uses its funds to promote the education of disadvantaged individuals in rural areas and to pioneer wildlife corridors between existing conservation areas.

Over the summer of 2015, I was touched by the amount of work our friends at Rhino Africa are doing, not just for the survival of this wonderful species the Rhino is but also to help local communities strive and become stronger through education and empowerement. It was for me a life changing experience and I am excited to be doing my (small) part.

I am seeking to raise a total of $6,000 with a minimum of $5,000. $2,500 is already committed by Art In Voyage and used to send me to Namibia for the challenge. So operating costs are already covered. 

The remaining funding (or 100% of what YOU donate) will go straight to all 3 organizations listed above through our partners in South Africa: Rhino Africa Safaris.
