Mikaela's Journey: Saying Goodbye to Celeste

Hello! My name is Mikaela.

Instead of the traditional baby shower that many parents have in waiting for their new little bundle of joy, I am instead wanting to raise funds to give my daughter, Celeste, that I am currently pregnant with, a beautiful funeral. In early February my partner and I found out that our baby girl has anencephaly, this means she is missing most of her brain, the top of her cranium and her scalp. This diagnosis is 100% fatal, at most she may live a couple of hours after her birth. I am around 21 weeks pregnant with my sweet Celeste, she is due in early July. I am greatly anticipating the day I get to meet my little angel.
