In Nashville and all over the world, we are facing a global pandemic that has taken over 21,000 lives, crippled the economy, shuttered many independent businesses, and forced many out of jobs due to no fault of their own.

What many do not realize is that MIKADO is not a national chain but an independent restaurant that has had the privilege and honor of serving Nashville for nearly 40 years.  Independent restaurants contribute $1 trillion dollars to the economy and employ 11 million employees across the country. So far, nearly 7 million of those employees have indefinitely lost their jobs due to this global pandemic. Each and every one of those individuals are trying to figure out how to manage these times of uncertainty like we are all doing day by day.

With our doors closed for an unknown amount of time, we created this gofundme campaign to raise funds that will go directly towards assisting our team members, their spouses, and children during this difficult time. We also want to truly thank family, friends, and long time guests who have reached out about how they can help in these unknown times. 

No one knows when this global pandemic will pass and nor when life will resume to a world we will never view the same. However, we genuinely believe what stands the test of any pandemic or disaster is the human spirit and especially in the south where we lift our neighbors when needed.
