Mihu Family Home Flood

On February 9th, an irrigation ditch overwhelmed by runoff water broke, causing thousands of gallons of water to rush into several backyards. The Mihu's home was in the direct path of the water. The basement window wells filled with water and broke under the pressure of the weight, filling the basement with several feet of water. Luckily no one was hurt, but the damage to the home was extensive.

The Mihu's do not have flood insurance. Their basement was filled with several feet of water, destroying everything in it's path. This included appliances, furniture, electronics, beds and bedding...just to name a few.  This doesn't include the structual damage, windows that burst, or landscaping destroyed.
