Mihos needs surgery.

My buddy and best friend Mihos is a cat that I rescued earlier this year. From the moment that I laid eyes on him I instantly fell in love with him. He was on the brink of death and needed immediate attention. He was severely under weight and his two front paws were swollen and lacked padding. He could barely meow and was so scared that someone would hurt him. When he saw me he sensed that I was trying to help him and slowly he begin to open up. I also discovered that he had a bad worm infestation. I immediately brought worm treatment for him and made sure that he always has fresh food and water. Over time he begin to gain weight and became more energetic and started to play a little. He is very affectionate and loves sleeping in the bed with me every night. Everyday when I come home from work he would run down the stairs and start meowing to welcome me home. I took him to a veterinarian and they diagnosed him with a condition called plasma cell pododermatitis. It is an extremely rare condition in cats that cause their paws to become inflamed and is extremely painful. If left untreated it can cause loss of the entire pad which unfortunately is what happened to Mihos. The veterinarian said that this condition could have been brought on by stress and trauma that he may have faced while living on the streets. All prayers and help will be greatly appreciated, I don’t know what I would do if Mihos wasn’t in my life. I look forward to seeing him healthy once again.
