Miguel's Heart Journey ❤️

2011
Seven years ago Miguel was diagnosed with heart failure. Since then Miguel as been on several different heart medicines throughout the years and  in and out of the hospital as a result of his illness.

2017
Throughout the years his heart condition continues to worsen. Per doctors recondemation, last summer Miguel underwent his first heart surgery where a pacemaker and a defibrillator was implanted.

Sadly Miguel never felt any relief from this surgery. However, if it were not for the defibrillator that was implanted in his chest--he would not be with us today because it was activated three different times when his heart flatlined.

After being hospitalized, doctors said that he would not live much longer without a heart transplant.

2018
In order for his heart transplant to be successful Miguel had to go through an open heart surgery on March 29th to input a heart pump to prepare his body to receive a donor heart and keep him alive until that donor heart becomes available.

Today Miguel is still in recovery, doing well, awaiting a heart transplant.

Unfortunately these circumstances has put our family of four in a difficult position financially to cover medical expenses.
