Miguel's Battle with Covid-19

Miguel Escuadra was an outstanding father, a loving husband, an exceptional brother, and an amazing son. He was a family man who woke up every morning with more love to give. A hardworking individual who always strived to provide for his three children and wife and anyone in need. He was a father that valued unity and saw the importance in simple things like family dinners, music, and cracking a joke. He was a man that spoke with his actions and an observer who always saw the bright side.
In 2017 Miguel unfortunately developed arthritis in his waist. He endured an enormous amount of pain as his cartilage eventually disappeared. He was out of work since then, but continued to support his family. Prayers were answered and he was finally due to undergo a surgery this upcoming August 2020. Unfortunately God had a different plan for him, but we know that God gives us what we can handle. COVID-19 sadly got a hold of Miguel this past week. He was a strong fighter and spent multiple days in the hospital. He was transferred to the ICU and was monitored on Fathers Day. During this time he became dependent on a ventilator for oxygen. Anxiously waiting for good news, his beloved family woke up to a devastating call from the hospital. It is with great pain and sadness to reveal that Miguel Escuadra passed away on June 23, 2020.
The donations received will go directly to the funeral services and the medical bills for Miguel. We ask that you also pray for his family as they need strength and faith. The passing of Miguel has left a pit in our stomachs, but we shall cherish and remember the great man he was. Today he continues to be an observer, watching over his loved ones.

Miguel Escuadra fue un padre sobresaliente, un esposo amoroso, un hermano excepcional y un hijo increíble. Era un hombre de familia que se despertaba cada mañana con más amor para dar. Una persona trabajadora que siempre se esforzó por mantener a sus tres hijos, su esposa y cualquier persona necesitada. Era un padre que valoraba la unidad y vio la importancia de cosas simples como cenas familiares, música y bromas. Era un hombre que hablaba con sus acciones y un observador que siempre veía el lado positivo.
En 2017, Miguel desafortunadamente desarrolló artritis en su cintura. Sufrió una enorme cantidad de dolor cuando su cartílago desapareció. A pesar de estar viviendo con dolor, su preocupacion fue siempre proveer para su familia y llenarlos de amor y esperanza. Miguel por fin consiguio obtener fecha para someterse a una cirugía en agosto del 2020. Lamentablemente, Dios tenía un plan diferente para él, pero sabemos que Dios nos da lo que podemos manejar. COVID-19 lamentablemente se apoderó de Miguel la semana pasada. Era un luchador fuerte y pasó varios días en el hospital. Fue transferido a cuidado intensivo y fue monitoreado a partir del Día del Padre. Durante este tiempo se volvió dependiente de un ventilador para obtener oxígeno. Ansiosamente esperando buenas noticias, su amada familia se despertó con una llamada devastadora del hospital. Con gran dolor y tristeza revelamos que Miguel Escuadra falleció el 23 de junio de 2020.
Las donaciones recibidas irán directamente a los servicios funerarios y las facturas médicas de Miguel. Le pedimos que también oren por su familia, ya que necesitan fuerza y fe. El fallecimiento de Miguel ha dejado un hoyo en nuestros estómagos y un nudo en la garganta pero apreciaremos y recordaremos al gran hombre que fue. Hoy continúa siendo un observador, cuidando de sus seres queridos.
