Electrical Burn Recovery for Lineman Family

On Tuesday September 6, 2022, Miguel “Mike” Moreno was on duty doing what he loved as a Lineman for his company when he was in a High Voltage Accident miles away from home in Corpus Christi, Tx. His injuries were so severe he had to be Halo Lifted to San Antonio’s BAMC. Mike is currently being treated in the ICU Burn Unit in critical condition with deep flesh wounds and 3rd degree burns that affect his back, sides, chest and Axilla Bilaterally.

He is currently sedated and is intubated with a breathing tube to help him breathe and keep him comfortable. He will be needing multiple surgeries to correct and remove tissue as well as being treated with other issues and complications that has arised from the accident.

Mike is a very fun loving outgoing father, spouse, friend, sibling and son. Mike and his wife Abigail have a blended family of seven. Abigail has been by Mikes side since he has been hospitalized. Due to the severity of Mikes injuries the couple will be out of work until further notice.

Sadly, this accident has taken a toll on the family emotionally and financially.

This is the 2nd traumatic experience this family has had to endure in the past year. On May 24, 2022, one of the seven blended children was attending school at Robb Elementary in Uvalde Tx. This was the tragic day of the school shooting. Thankfully, the child was a survivor of the incident but did suffer mentally and emotionally.

This family has gone through a lot of grief in a small amount of time.

We are asking for donations to help with any financial expenses that they may need soon, whether it’s for medical bills, utilities, gas for traveling back and forth from hospitals, and most importantly essentials for the children.
