Ivan (Miguel) Solorzano

Just a few weeks ago, our father Ivan (Miguel) Solorzano, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.
We were blindsided as a family since he always followed an extremely healthy diet and very active for his age. Ivan continues to maintain an optimistic view despite his prognosis. This news has not just impacted our family spiritually but financially as many of you know cancer treatment is very overwhelming. Every second right now is being spent trying to determine the best course of treatment with our family. Even though he won’t complain, we can see that he is enduring so much pain. He is unable to fully rest and sleeping is becoming harder and harder.
Ivan came into our lives and instantly treated all our family members like his own. He became a caretaker to my brother, sister and I. He stepped in when we needed a father figure the most. He was our encouragement to exceed in life and in pursing our dreams. He was always there for us to make us breakfast, lunch and dinner and to drive us to school and back and forth from sporting events. He would take care of my grandparents always teaching them ways to lead a healthy lifestyle. My family always says Ivan has a smile on his face even at hard times, which is evident now.
Ivan is the kind of caring person who will go out of his way for anyone else. He is always positive looking for the best in every person and every situation. My mom says that he is her angel, always loving, understanding and a peacemaker.
We are so fortunate for our friends and family and the existence of Go Fund Me which provides us a convenient method for going about something like this. We thank you whole heartedly for your prayers and your contributions.
