Miguel Got a Kidney!

Help us give one of our beloved chefs his life back!

Miguel Mejia Nunez is a hardworking father of two who recently experienced kidney failure. Despite making trips to get dialysis three times per week, he desperately needed a transplant because both his kidneys were barely functioning above 20%.

Fast forward a few months and Miguel has successfully underwent a kidney transplant, but he still attends appointments at Boston Medical Center every week to ensure the new kidney is functioning. Between the frequent appointments and returning to work, the bills have begun piling up. With few relatives stateside, the medical bills are overwhelming.

The way we see it, he’s a member of our family and we are going to do everything we can to support him during this difficult time.

We have decided to host a fundraiser for Miguel!

On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, Hamilton Restaurant and Bar is hosting a fundraiser for Miguel and his family. On this evening, the entire restaurant staff is committing 100% of tips and wages to kidney transplant expenses. The owner, Greg Johnston has offered to match the amount raised.
