Hi! My name is Gavin and I am five years old. In late January, I was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor near my left eye. After many tests, the doctors were able to determine that it had not spread, but would need aggressive radiation and chemo therapy. The doctors have set up a plan of treatment for me that covers 42 weeks  Unlike many kids, I get to go home alot. Sometimes I have to stay at the hospital during treatments though too.  My mom & dad, Cari & Matt, take turns staying in the hospital with me. My big sister, Alexis, is in third grade.  My brother, Conlin, is 361 days older than me.  He is in Kindergarten. We all attend Whitinsville Christian School. I am a preschooler there. Up to now, I have been a happy and healthy boy.  Recently, I have had difficulty sleeping and keep waking up with headaches. The doctor thought it a sinus infection and gave me medicine, but it didn't help.  He sent me for an eye exam this past Wednesday, January 27 and an MRI on Thursday January 28. I am now a patient at The Floating Children's Hospital at Tuft's University in Boston.  Prayers are so appreciated for me, my family and for the medical team.
