Can you help our Mighty Mike as he bravely battles Lymphoma.

Mike, 10, discovered a bump on his neck a few months ago and was referred to ENT for observation and assessment. After his observation and tests, he was immediately taken to Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridgeshire, where they identified that he has Lymphoma. He has started his chemotherapy treatment already and is currently on his third dose in 3 weeks.

Mike is an incredibly positive young man, has a great sense of humour and an old head on young shoulders.

Mike is a keen rugby player, having started playing for Huntingdon Stags in the U6's. He works hard to improve his skill sets, tackle big and look after his mates. Mike is tackling this challenge like he approaches his rugby matches and is hitting it head-on with a smile and a positive attitude.

Mike is likely to have to spend both Christmas and his birthday in hospital while he undergoes 4 months of treatment, with only a few very small rest breaks back at home before returning to a sterile environment to avoid bugs.

Even now, in the build-up to Christmas, Mike has been keen to continue with his studies to prepare for his SATs and his big move to secondary school in September. However, at the moment, he is sharing a laptop with his mum (who has been constantly at his side in the hospital), preventing her from being able to carry on her job and working from home (the hospital).

Mike has a love of coding in his spare time, with a hope that it could be his profession when he grows up. We are looking at getting Mike a high specification laptop that he could do his school work on, and also enjoy his hobby of coding, to help past the time stuck in a hospital bed away from his mates. Any help you could give would be hugely appreciated.

Any monies raised over the cost of the laptop will be gifted to the family to help them cover costs of petrol to and from Addenbrookes, having to eat at Addenbrookes and all other costs associated with having a sick child in hospital for such a prolonged period of time.
