Mighty Micah's Continued Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
I am here again on behalf of my hero... my amazing nephew, Micah.
Micah has always been a very extraordinary little guy. With a killer sense of humor, a smile that could soften the hardest of hearts, and a soul that overflows with love and faith... the world looked to be open to whatever incredible impact Micah would eventually have on it.
On Monday, October 10th, 2022 a colossal roadblock appeared in Micah's path. That day, Micah and our family received the devastating news that, what was thought to be a harmless bump on his foot, was actually cancer. After several tests and biopsies, it was determined that the cancer that had developed inside both of Micah's legs was metastatic Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma or 'ARMS', a rare type of cancer that forms in soft tissue, specifically skeletal muscle tissue.
It has now been over a year since Micah began his fight and despite everything from hospital stays and chemotherapy to blood draws and PICC lines, from nausea and muscle weakness to radiation and pain... there is nothing that has stopped Micah. He is truly BATTLE TESTED and proves every day that he is not the kind of kid who will just roll over and quit. It's amazing to watch as each new challenge is presented, how Micah assesses the enemy, grabs ahold of God's protective hand and moves forward. He is truly an inspiration and has touched so many throughout this fight.
I came to all of you a year ago with my hand out and was blown away by everyone's generosity. We received a truly humbling response and the giving, whether through financial donations or through prayer was absolutely game-changing for Micah. That said, today I have returned with a new plea... Micah's family is facing immense financial strain due to the overwhelming medical and travel expenses that have been accrued during this war, and I humbly request your assistance once more through donations and/or prayer to help alleviate their burden.
As I said last time I know we cannot take this cross from Micah and Family's shoulders, but we can definitely lighten the load and help them fight. If we can lessen the financial burden on his parents, ensuring they can focus more clearly on the continuing journey and fight ahead, then we are doing what we can to battle this evil disease on Micah's behalf.
I ask for your generosity at this time. If you are able, please consider giving what you can. If you are unable to support in a financial capacity, I ask that you lift up your arms and say a prayer for Micah.... thank God for His love and protection the last year since the diagnosis and ask that He continue to watch over Micah in the difficult times ahead giving him and his Mom, Dad, brothers, and sister the strength needed to endure.
Thank you for your consideration and God Bless You.
