Eight years of Max. Eight years of miracles.
We thought it would be pretty special if everyone who wanted to help chipped in $8 for Max's 8 incredible years. Whether it's $8, another amount, or simply sharing his story, every bit of support means alot.
My name is Ash, and I work with Max's mom. I've followed his journey through Operation Mighty Max and wanted to do something to help with the medical expenses that come with long recovery and caring for such a medically complex little boy.
Max was born with a rare congenital heart condition and has already undergone three open heart surgeries, along with multiple brain surgeries. He has a mechanical heart valve that requires lifelong blood thinners and regular INR blood monitoring.
**Our first goal is helping Max get a new home INR machine.**
A new machine and first month of supplies cost just under $1,300. Having one at home allows his family to check his INR with a quick finger prick instead of making trips to the hospital lab for blood draws. After everything he's been through, that is a pretty big deal
Additional donations will help with ongoing medical expenses, supplies, and travel for specialized care.
Both of Max's parents work full time, and I just wanted to find a small way for those of us who care about him to help carry a little of that load.
Thank you for being part of Max's family.
