My name is Genelyn Gajigan, a mother of two. I made this to raise a fund for an “ UrgentLiver Transplant “ for my baby J Kylie. Last October 30, 2019, my second daughter, baby "JKylie Gajigan" was diagnosed with "BILIARY ATRESIA" after undergoing a liver biopsy. Biliary Atresia is a rare disease of the liver and bile ducts that occurs in infants.
With baby Kylie's condition, the only available cure for biliary atresia with signs of fibrosis is a liver transplant. Baby Kylie is 3 months old now. As advised by baby Kylie's attending physician from Cebu Doctors' University who had already handled a similar case, one best option to save baby Kylie's life is for the liver transplant. The procedure would cost approximately 30,000.00 USD (around 1.5 million in peso) in New Delhi India. Liver transplant here in the Philippines would cost Php5,000,000.00
The procedure would be very costly and we don't know where to get such a big amount. I'm just a plain housewife and my husband is a local tour guide with one of the resorts here in Loboc Bohol. My husband's living wage is just enough for our everyday survival.
Baby Kylie is fighting every day. Currently, after being admitted for almost 2 weeks in the hospital baby Kylie was already discharged. There is no other cure for baby Kylie's condition, other than the liver transplant. We were given medication by the doctor to slower or lessen the deficiency or the damage to other Kylie's other organs. We are currently taking care of baby Kylie at home now with the temporary medications. Her stomach is noticeably getting bigger now and her skin is a bit more yellowish. As parents, it's very unbearable to see her in this condition.
Every day we are praying for a healing miracle from God for our baby. The help and support from our friends and family this past few weeks were overwhelming and we can't thank you enough. Every day is a battle for us and baby Kylie and as her parents, we are not losing hope.
With this, we are humbly asking for you to spare a little bit of your time to pray for our baby Kylie for a lease on life. Powerful prayer is one that does not let go. It does not quit. It is profitable and powerful because it is persistent( Michael Cat). Your kind financial assistance and unwavering support will give Baby Kylie a chance to live and survive.
We also appreciate donations directly made through any of the following local (Philippine) bank:
