My cousin Caroline and I are lacing up our walking boots and setting off on a special hike for Macmillan Cancer Support — and we’d love your support.
This challenge means more to us than just miles covered. Caroline and I share a deep bond that began long before we were born — our grandmas were not only sisters but the best of friends, spending countless days walking side by side across the hills and valleys of Yorkshire. Their walks were full of laughter, strength, and quiet companionship, and they passed that same spirit down to us.
Now, we walk in their footsteps.
Cancer has taken far too many of our loved ones. Each loss has left its mark, but it’s also given us purpose. We know firsthand the emotional and physical toll cancer can take — not only on those fighting it, but on the families beside them. That’s why we’re walking for Macmillan, who provide vital care and support to people when they need it most.
This hike is our way of remembering, honouring, and helping to create a future with better treatments — and hopefully, one day, a cure.
So it’s on with the walking boots and off we go. Step by step, we’re walking for change. If you’re able to support us — with a donation, a share, or just a kind word — it would mean the world.
Thank you,
Becs
