Theo and I ask you to support our fundraising to buy and drive an ambulance (or 4x4) 1,200 miles in a convoy from London to Ukraine. We are fundraising for Mighty Convoy Ltd, a not-for-profit company registered in England with company number 14093179 (see www.mightyconvoy.org). We were introduced to Mighty Convoy by a mutual friend. Mighty Convoy will buy the vehicles, have them serviced and arrange for handover to the Christian Medical Association of Ukraine (www.cmaukraine.com/en) in Lviv, Ukraine. The vehicles will carry medical supplies and other aid donated by charities in the UK. The Christian Medical Association in Ukraine is a civilian not-for-profit whose projects "aim to improve the quality and accessibility of medical services in Ukraine".
The funding Theo and I raise will be passed to Mighty Convoy who will use it to buy and service a vehicle (ambulance or 4x4) which we will drive to Lviv with a provisional departure date in mid-March. Theo and I are paying our own expenses for food, accommodation and return from Lviv.
We have two parallel funding campaigns in EUR and GBP. Between them we hope to raise sufficient funds for one vehicle by mid-February with any excess to be paid to Mighty Convoy for their future activities. If for any reason beyond our control we can’t deliver the vehicle, we will donate the funds to Mighty Convoy or a charity connected to Ukraine.
We kindly ask you to donate to this worthy cause. All donations, big and small, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support,
Theo Lyttle and Colin Greene
