Midtown Employee Fund Chicago

Donation protected
UPDATE: So excited to hear that Midtown has launched an official fundraiser with a goal of $160,000! We are actively talking to GoFundMe and Midtown while we work through details to consolidate these funds. More info to come but please continue to donate -- here or there. The money will still get to the impacted employees that we all want to help.

Please consider contributing your monthly membership fee in order to provide them with some assistance. Given Midtown's closing this week during the Covid-19 outbreak, over 2,000 employees were laid off impacting almost all functions and departments (including workers such as servers, cleaners, trainers, tennis professionals, etc.).  Their healthcare converts to Cobra after March and they have no severance (full time employees with more than 5 years of service get one week). If anyone has any contacts or help on pulling together names and emails of these impacted employees, please email us right away. We are working on this to prepare for the distribution.

- If Midtown sets up a fund for their employees, we will transfer ALL of this money to their fund
- This is only for Midtown Chicago employees that were laid off
- This is a general fund. We will take the total and divide it by the employees laid off
- We are unable to direct money specifically for one individual (please send money directly to an individual if you prefer that option)
