Target - 6 Rounds / 1260 Shots (Level Par)
Inspiration - Charlie Appleyard - ‘APPLES’
Charlie has been an inspiration to us all at Surbiton Golf Club. Despite being diagnosed
with Parkinson’s in 2016 and told he would have to give up golf, he’s continued to play
and even managed to improve his handicap over the last 9 years.
In 2024 Charlie represented Europe for the first time in The Cairns Cup. This year he has been selected as Vice Captain of The Cairns Cup 2026.
Charlie is the co-founder of Sport Parkinson’s and has raised over £1million to help the Parkinson’s community stay active.
Sport Parkinson’s supports people to ‘keep healthy and strong ‘til a cure comes along’. It has been clinically proven that exercise can slow down the progression of Parkinson’s
and help battlers manage symptoms. They organise unique sporting events, provide grants, raise awareness of the condition and offer community support to improve the
lives of people living with the disease.
On Thursday 19th June Surbiton Golf Club Pro's - Dan, Luke & Rob will be attempting to complete 6 rounds during daylight. Please donate and help us raise as much money as we can for Sport Parkinson’s.
