On the 9th–10th May, a group of the office team from secure healthcare and my little sister will be taking on a night trek up Snowdon to raise money for the Spinal Injuries Association — a challenge that will push us both physically and mentally, but one that’s incredibly close to our hearts.
As a complex care nurse, I work closely with individuals living with spinal cord injuries, and I see first-hand the daily challenges they face. I also see the difference the Spinal Injuries Association makes — many of the people I care for rely on their support, guidance, and expertise to help navigate life after injury.
Climbing through the night won’t be easy. It’ll be dark, cold, and exhausting. But it’s nothing compared to the realities faced by those living with a spinal injury every single day. That’s why this challenge feels so important to us.
The Spinal Injuries Association provides vital, life-changing support — from practical advice and advocacy to emotional support for both individuals and their families. They help people rebuild independence, regain confidence, and adjust to a completely new way of living.
I’ve seen just how powerful that support can be, and how much it means to the people who receive it.
By supporting our trek, you’re not just helping us reach the summit of Snowdon — you’re helping ensure that people living with spinal injuries continue to receive the care, support, and hope they deserve.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much. And if you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you so much for your support — it truly means everything to us and to those I care for. Want to join me in making a difference? We are raising money to benefit Spinal Injuries Association, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us
More information about Spinal Injuries Association: Every four hours another person sustains a spinal cord injury – and another family’s life torn apart. Please help me a difference.
