Midnight came to my wife Kim and me in 2008! She was homeless and it wasn’t long before we started to fall in love with her! When she arrived, we were in the process of losing 3 sisters and a brother and the grief was unbearable at times! But; this little cat began to bring us such unbelievable joy in the midst of all of the sorrow!She was like a beautiful, bright light in a dark dreary time! Last August 19, she was diagnosed with Kidney Failure! The Vet said, "Take her home and enjoy her while you can! She doesn't have long!" We started, at that point, to really work on keeping her with us and there are too many people to thank here for the help we have gotten. We have 2 wonderful women who started coming over and helping us give her her meds and, through ice storms and heat waves and the pandemic, THEY HAVEN’T MISSED A SINGLE DAY IN OVER A YEAR!. There have been so many other angels along this miraculous journey that it warms my heart to think about them. On November 9, when she was diagnosed with Heart Failure, they said, "She has days; maybe weeks! Make sure she gets seen to so she won't suffer!" And, on July 20, this year, they said, "She will pass later this week or early next week! Prepare yourself!" Well, we just don't give up easy around here and, as long as she is breathing and has reasonable quality of life; WE'RE GONNA FIGHT LIKE HELL FOR HER!! As you can imagine, the bills have been astronomical and we're running out of money! That’s why we have started THE MIDNIGHT FUND! I am totally blind BUT EVEN I CAN SEE her incredible will to live and how special she is
