Please Help Samarth Mathur Provide Nutritious Mid-Day Meals to Underprivileged Children in Rural Rajasthan
Hi, I’m Samarth — a high school student passionate about giving back. I’ve launched this fundraiser to support underprivileged children in rural Rajasthan by providing them with something every child deserves: a nutritious mid-day meal. In many rural communities, children attend school on an empty stomach. For some, a school-provided meal is the only substantial food they get all day. With your help, we can change that — one plate at a time.
Vatsalya Society is a registered nonprofit (172/JAI/1995-96) based in rural Rajasthan, working since 1995 to uplift children and communities in need. For over two decades, we’ve supported orphaned and underprivileged children with education, shelter, care, and healthy meals.
Today, Vatsalya operates a one-of-a-kind, carbon-neutral rural school campus 40 km from Jaipur, where children of daily-wage laborers access quality education, clean surroundings, and a safe space to enjoy a happy childhood with access to tools to lead a dignified and productive , healthy life.
What We're Raising Funds For
We are generally able to secure 50% of the funding required for food $6,000 USD, which helps provide basic daily meals for 50 children (Only Dal, Chapati and Rice).
We are seeking support to raise the remaining $6,000 USD to provide:
- Fresh fruits
- Nutritious snacks
- Milk and milk-based items
- Special meals on festivals
- Baked and fortified food
- Diverse food options that support healthy development.
This will sustain children for 10 months of the school year, at $600/month for 50 children—just 40 Cents per child per day.
These additions are crucial to:
- Prevent micronutrient deficiencies
- Support immunity and growth
- Encourage better attention, learning, and energy
- Add joy, variety, and dignity to their school day
