Our mighty Midas pup (8 months old) was doing what he loves most, chasing Beans the kitty. Midas tried something new, a flying leap onto the deck stairs. He missed, and his right leg went through the spacing between the steps. With a blood-curdling scream from our pup, we rushed to the emergency vet. After x-rays, we learned that he dislocated his wrist and broke his ulna and radius in his right arm. Time is of the essence, Midas is under a year, and his bone-growing hormones are very active. We need to get surgery to get the bones placed back in the right place before his body tries to heal itself in the wrong way.
