Men and women being released from prison that need a safe living environment along with a job. Their job will be growing organic microgreens (superfood) that will be sold to local restaurants and markets. The funds you donate will help complete the microgreen warehouse and mobile home housing for the residents. LED grow lights enable microgreens to be grown indoors year-round with harvesting on a weekly basis. Besides work, the residents will be able to pursue long-term job skills and relearn how to make better choices with positive outcomes for them and their community. Most of these men and women at the Landing Zone will have already been enrolled in a faith-based discipleship program designed to give them spiritual strength, from which God's hand can bless their obedience to His leadership. In fact, this Alabama program already has a track record of over 95 percent successfully re-entering society after release from prison. With your help, the Landing Zone will solidify and improve this remarkable re-entry record. More importantly, it should become self-supporting as the production and sale of organic microgreens increases. Our hope is the Landing Zone will become a model every community can utilize--improving public safety and enhancing healthy superfood availability that is grown locally.
