Mick's Fix Leather Repairs - Van Repair Fund

Many of you will know this man and his van, Mick of Mick’s Fix Leather Repairs. He is currently unable to effectively carry out his trade due to his van/workplace engine being beyond repair. Due to a string of bad luck, poor timing and unfortunate circumstances Mick is currently unable to afford replacing the motor or van. The aim of this GoFundMe is to raise the required funds to get Mick’s mobile workstation back up and running, or if more cost effective a new (second hand) van instead!

Mick has been travelling to racetracks around Australia for decades, attending events ranging in size from small town classic meetings all the way to the highest level of Australian and International motorsport. He always sets up his van, puts up his sign, gets to work repairing leathers and sleeps in the same small van at the end of the day. He is responsible for saving the skin on many motorcyclists backs time and time again, often doing freebies and supporting those who didn’t have the money themselves at the time. His generosity is well known, often spoken of and always without a single thought of what he would get in return. A truly kind soul.

I have had an overwhelmingly large influx of private messages requesting a GoFundMe page be started as people learnt of his troubles. All messages would detail some act of generosity he had performed, and whether small or large it was clear that his positive influence on the community was much larger than I could have imagined. Everybody wants to help Mick get back to doing what he does best.

Any donation no matter the size would be greatly appreciated and is sure to make a difference. Mick is aware of the GoFundMe page, however finds it hard to be on the receiving end of generosity. I am most certain that every cent raised will be spent after careful consideration on how it be best applied.
