Mick Kalber's Cancer-free Fund
Donation protected
Hello! We are Sage and Ivory Kalber... Mick Kalber's children. On December 21, 2015 our dad was told that the fight he won with cancer 22 years ago would be fought once again; a squamous cell carcinoma lesion was found in another area of his throat. We were devasted.
Having gone through cancer treatment (chemo and radiation) before, the situation is complicated. So much so that the radiological-oncologist he visited on the Big Island WOULDN'T TOUCH IT. This life-changing event has once again caused Mick, and his amazing and supportive wife Ann to stop everything and head to the mainland to get the best care. So, Mick's journey to be cancer-free begins again. Only this time, you get to be part of the fun(d)!
Before we go any further, here is a story that aired on the local Hawaii news, so you can get to know our Daddeo a little better and see how awesome and talented he is! He is a gift to the world and needs to be around a lot longer!
Our dad had a vision to make a program that told about the beauty and the connection that people living in Hawaii have with the volcano. He wanted to show that the volcano isn’t always a disaster but a vital force that inspires and enriches peoples lives. Mick worked for 8 years and released the program on DVD and Blu-ray and video-on-demand. To support his endeavor and see some truly WORLD CLASS volcano footage in your own home, click this link https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/volcano-scapes...-dancing/id892021291
It's very reasonably priced, so share with your friends--let's help this go viral!!
Here is the back-story:
After a steady decline in business from the financial collapse of 2008, Tropical Visions Video lost so much income they had to put our cherished childhood home of 30 years up for sale, not because they wanted to, but because they had to. After months of hard work and many showings (but no offers) they were overwhelmed and stressed, but not hopeless. Then came the diagnosis...guess there wasn't enough on their plate.
The money will go solely to Mick's medical costs (estimated at $100K after insurance) and housing wherever he ends up getting treatment.
We have been so amazed at the out-pouring of love and support that has been shown on Facebook. Your personal messages, comments, likes and posts have meant so much to our dad, we can't even begin to tell you. HUGE MAHALO FOR THAT!!! We have been shown that friends help each other when in need so that's why we're putting this out there. Let's help him get cancer-free and back up in the air sharing the beauty of Pele with the world. Please donate!
We need you more than we need your money... your prayers would mean everything to us! We whole-heartedly believe in the power of prayer, so PLEASE keep that healing energy flowing!
THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND LOVE- our entire family is SO GRATEFUL TO YOU!
MAHALO NUI LOA and A HUI HOU!
