Hi, my name is Melissa Glynn, Micki Curran's daughter. On Sunday, April 3rd, Micki tragically lost her home to a major fire. She lost everything she owns, and most tragically, lost the absolute loves of her life -- her 6 beloved dogs, 3 cats and 3 turtles. Anyone that knows Micki knows that she is the most kind, selfless, and giving person in the world and would literally give the shirt off her back to someone in need. Her sweet dogs were the beneficiaries of that kindness -- when nobody else would give those babies a home, she took them in and gave them the most loving home possible. They brought so much love and joy to her life and their loss is truly devastating. While Micki has to cope with the grief of this incredibly significant loss, she also has to think about rebuilding her entire life. She literally walked away from the fire with only the clothes on her back. Her home is a total loss and the rebuilding process will take many, many months. She now has to rebuild from scratch -- from things as basic as clothing and personal care items to larger items, such as a bed, furniture, electronics, etc.. and temporary housing. We are working closely with her insurance company to figure out how to rebuild her home, but are quickly learning that this is going to be a very long and arduous process. Micki is fortunate to have the love and support of her family through this process, but as you might imagine, the magnitude of this event requires a community of support. Please join us in supporting Micki the way that she has supported so many of us over the years. Anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated and will go a long way to helping this amazing mother, Nana, nurse, and friend rebuild her life.
