In honor of Mickey’s legacy of love and connection to spirituality and the family’s profound connection to the Land of Medicine Buddha, the family would like to purchase a memorial Stupa to be placed on the first Mandala Wall at the 100,000 Stupa Project site. Sponsoring a Stupa on behalf of, or dedicated to, our loved ones is a way to repay their kindness, memorializing their lives, and dedicate to their liberation and enlightenment. Land of Medicine Buddha is also where Mickey’s beloved daughter Clare passed away eight years ago at the Tara Home hospice cottage and has been a place of peace and refuge for the whole family. The family would also like to have a memorial bench placed at the Vajarpani Buddhist institute along with the memorial bench already in progress for his daughter Clare. These two memorial sites will be a place for family and friends to forever remember Mickey and to visit to pay tribute and feel the peace and love that he lived his life sharing.
 
 Any remaining funds from donations will go to the memorial celebration of life and ensuring that his Wife Karen can comfortably remain in the family home of 43 years where many of his children were born and where all of the grandchildren and great grandchildren have spent many beautiful and peaceful days connecting with nature on this little piece of paradise in the Santa Cruz mountains. Mickey and his kids were working on many much-needed structural projects to make sure that the old home would be safe and maintained and cared for generations to come.
