As some of you know, although many probably don’t, my Dad (Michael, Poppy, Mick Harris), is currently in hospital, where he’s been for the better part of 6 weeks. He has been diagnosed with Melanoma with more tests to come. Mick is extremely unwell, he has been placed on feeding tubes and oxygen. His brain has been affected and he is unable to talk, has no mobility and cannot get out of bed, as well as many other issues. This is unlikely to improve. He has a very hard battle coming up.

My mum Sheree has taken time off work to be with my Dad, but as the hospital is in Brisbane, 5+ hours away from where they live, mum is having to pay for hotels to be with him. On top of this she has had to readjust to a single income. It is my hope that we can raise a little money for her to be able to spend as long as possible in Brisbane with Poppy, hopefully until he is returned to the hospital in Bundaberg.
