Cancer Recovery Fund for Mick Banning

As many of you are aware, Mick was diagnosed last December with colorectal cancer. After a worrisome ten hour procedure, surgeons removed most of the tumor in February. Several days later after exhibiting odd symptoms, doctors then discovered Mick was suffering from a life threatening bacterial infection as a result of his surgical procedure. He was rushed back into the operating room so doctors could assess the damage. The extent of the infection resulted in five additional surgeries and countless scans and other painful treatments.

Mick was finally released after four weeks and is slowly recovering with the assistance of family and friends. Unfortunately, due to the number of extensive surgeries, his recovery time will take longer than we initially anticipated. He is recovering for several more weeks before his chemo and radiation treatments begin. The next phase is expected to take three to four months. Mick would like to try and work through chemo and radiation if he is physically able. 

Mick is not one to ask for help which is why I’ve created this account. Financial assistance is difficult to ask for, but it is sad that anyone going through this should have to worry about their financial situation at the same time. 

As he prepares to undergo the second phase of treatment, the medical bills from multiple surgeries, an extended hospital stay, additional treatments and lack of income have mounted into an overwhelming burden. Mick has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Anything you are able to contribute will be greatly appreciated.
