As many of you know, Micilín spent his life driving trucks and we are now in our 3rd year of celebrating his honour by running this truck run in association with Western Alzheimers. Unfortunately Micilín was diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimers which turned his life, and ours, upside down. Anyone who knows someone dealing with this disease knows just how hard it can be on the person but especially hard on those caring for them. Western Alzheimers were a tremendous help for our family at a time when we really needed it. This truck run is to help raise valuable funds for Western Alzheimers who's aim is to help and support even more families who really need it.
