Michigan State Trooper Wrongfully Suspended Without Pay

Donation protected
In one of those most ridiculous disciplinary actions, Michigan State Police Trooper Cody Longuski was suspended for 30 days after using his patrol car to ram a wrong-way driver who was under the influence of alcohol. The incident occurred in April of 2024, when Longuski encountered the drunk driver traveling the wrong way on a highway, posing a significant danger to other motorists.

Longuski, who has been with the Michigan State Police for 7.5 years, made the split-second decision to use his vehicle to stop the wrong-way driver, preventing what could have been a catastrophic accident. While his actions were aimed at protecting public safety, the Michigan State Police determined that the use of force was excessive and not in line with departmental policies which is completely ridiculous.

The suspension has sparked a debate among the public and law enforcement community. Supporters of Longuski argue that he was simply doing his job of protecting and serving the public, and that the suspension is unwarranted given the circumstances. Critics, however, believe that the use of force was unnecessary and that alternative measures could have been taken to handle the situation.

We decided to step in and create this GoFundMe to help supplement the income for Longuski during his suspension.
