The Michener Center for Writers graduating class of 2006 is asking you to join us in our effort to support our cherished classmate, Nell Hanley.
Nell unexpectedly lost her husband, the writer Brad Watson, on June 8th to natural causes. Brad was a beloved teacher, mentor, and friend to several generations of writers, artists, and everyday folks. His loss is staggering to his family, friends, community, and the literary world. We are looking to raise $7,500 to help Nell through these trying times. Nell is a self-employed hoof care specialist, educator, cowgirl, and beloved community member in Laramie, Wyoming. She's the kind of woman who would never reach out for help, but she'd be the first to help a stranger. Please, join us in our effort to support our beloved classmate and friend.
