My name is Michelle Spieser. I am humbly reaching out to my Facebook friends and family at a very poignant time in my life.

After going through a difficult divorce two years ago and now living on my own and working full time, I found life challenging but rewarding. I was gaining confidence in myself and proud that I could manage on a restricted budget.

However, three years ago, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a very serious and incurable blood cancer. 

At that time, the cancer was not active. 

Since Multiple Myeloma attacks the blood AND bone, my checkup last year consisted of a bone marrow biopsy, intensive blood work and an entire body bone scan. 

Unfortunately, this time, the results indicated “smoldering, active, Multiple Myeloma.” Unless you’ve been the recipient of this dire diagnosis, you can’t imagine the emotional devastation when my heart skipped a beat and dropped.

With the grace of God, I endured 3 months of aggressive Chemotherapy, and it's side effects along with a Stem Cell Transplant to follow at Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit next week. 

As I prepare for the Stem Cell Transplant next week, I’m faced with new fears of anxiety regarding my care, my mindset and finances. I will be out of work for 3-4 months and regular bills will continue to be due for car, rent and groceries, etc.

 I have some medical insurance, but deductions and copays are mounting.

I have never been in a position like this in my lifetime and am finding it difficult to ask for help, but as my mom always said, “All you can do is ask.” 

 So, I ask for your prayers and your positive thoughts, and any amount of financial assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that my faith will help me through these times, by putting on the full armor of God and declaring fearlessly that I will be healed!

 I am holding onto God’s promise of healing. Along with a couple of my favorite passages...

Psalm 46:5... God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day and 

Psalm 46:10…Be still my child…and know.❣️
