Michelle’s second cancer fight

Hi everyone! I am Alyssa, Michelle’s daughter and as a family we are starting a go fund me fundraiser for Michelle “Shelly” Pangallo.

As Some of you may or may not know, Shelly was rushed to the hospital, Wednesday august 4th with stroke symptoms, which was later determined to be caused by 2 bleeding brain tumors. She had emergency surgery the following day to remove both tumors, and this is where her surgeons and medical team discovered the tumors were cancerous. As if immediate brain surgery wasn’t enough, we later found out the cancer had spread to her lunges.

the recovery from the brain surgery alone will take up to 3 months. She was moved to the rehab floor of the hospital on Thursday of last week to start her therapy regimen. There she will be doing 3 hours plus a day of therapy. This will include physical, speech and occupational therapy. At this time we do not know when she will be able to leave the hospital. Once her brain has healed, she will be starting radiation to the skull to remove any other cancer in her brain. She currently has one small tumor left in the brain. Radiation will be daily for 2 weeks. Shortly after radiation she will start chemotherapy for the cancer in her lunges.

It has been determined that Shelly will not be able to work for approximately 3 months and could even be longer based on her cancer treatment. The family has hope this fundraiser is to save enough money to cover Shellys personal expenses and any medical bills not covered by her insurance.
