Michelle’s new wheels
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Aimee and I’m one of Michelle’s friends and one of her biggest supporters!
I'm creating this GoFund me page for Michelle to buy some ‘new wheels’ to be able to get about and for her loved ones to enable Michelle and her family to continue their day to day life and enable Michelle her independence once she is out of hospital.
Michelle is 37 and newly married (a years married to be exact) to the lovely Carl. They have 5 children between them and a new grandson who are their world. Ellie, Isla Rose, Isla, Ben and Nico and a beautiful baby grandson.

They are a very active family often having days out, attending the children’s football matches, trips away and family holidays and long dog walks! Michelle loves to paddle board with friends and Carl.
Michelle has a full time job as a pastoral support worker in an upper school and always putting others first. She has got to be the most generous person I know and treats all her children’s friends as her own.
Isla Rose, Isla and Ben all play local football and she has always made effort to be their biggest supporter from the sidelines! We all know when she’s there with her constant words of encouragement.

Michelle just doesn’t stop with her ideas and plans for the house and garden. (Poor Carl) but she is such a positive vibe of joy at every moment.

The Story…
On the 8th September 2024 Michelle became unwell just before a football game leading to some strange behaviour and feeling ‘not ok’. An ambulance was called and tragically Michelle had suffered a stroke and a bleed on the brain. She was taken to the Luton and Dunstable hospital.
Michelle was discharged that evening but only to be admitted to Bedford on the 9th September by ambulance. Michelle had suffered a second bleed on the brain and the diagnosis was a Cavanoma (a rasberry shaped brain tumor)
Michelle lost the ability to talk and walk and the use of her left arm. It was incredibly emotional and heart breaking for all her family and friends to see her go through such a traumatic time. Michelle stayed in hospital till the 17th September when she was finally allowed home on bed rest.
Michelle seemed much better and was able to leave the house with family and friends for short trips out for coffee or lunch. A sense of normality was very much needed!
On the 29th September Michelle started having terrible headaches. Again an ambulance was called and she was kept in but sent home with a migraine diagnosis.
On the 3rd October Michelle suffered a seizure. She was admitted again and currently is still in Bedford Hospital.
To date Michelle has suffered over 10 seizures which are getting more and more violent and last longer and longer causing her so much pain and distress. Michelle continues to have the unrelenting support from her husband Carl every day from dawn till late every evening. Carl holds down some very important jobs and is juggling 4 children, jobs and his home as well as their little Fergie (dog)

He has been an absolute superstar and is her biggest advocate as well as being a very active dad and football coach. He needs a cape!
Michelle has the support also from many friends who keep her Starbucks addiction going, invest in her new crochet hobby and provide hours of jokes and laughter as well as love, care and Pringles.
Michelle is very aware her walking may not return immediately and being such an independent person we cannot see this be taken away.
Living in a village there is only a shop and a pub a walk away. Being able to take herself to the shop or little Fergie on a trip around the block would really give Michelle that independence back. We can’t guarantee what the future has in store as tests are still ongoing but for now I want to make sure Michelle has that independence waiting for her when she comes home.
Her new wheels!

This wheel chair is a super lightweight self propelling chair. Meaning even if she is feeling slightly weaker one day it’s a relatively effortless ride.
it’s retailing at £1999.99!!
As you can appreciate for anyone this is nothing more than a dream to be able to find that money. I want to help her find this dream and make it a reality! Any amount helps.
Any funds left over will be put towards any outgoings they maybe struggling to meet with Michelle now not working or for anything else she may need moving forward.
Michelle extends her heart felt gratitude to all who support her in this fund raising and to all those who have been there for her and her family since the day her world turned upside down on the 8th September.
I thank you from the bottom
of my heart for any donations as I appreciate times are so very hard for all.
much love and thanks,
Aimee x
