Michelle's Journey to Healing
Donation protected
Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
Richard Payne and I are reaching out to you on behalf of Michelle Lemire-Taylor, a beloved nursing instructor at NLC, a devoted mother to her 14-year-old son, and a pillar in our community.
Why We Need Your Help...
Michelle has recently been diagnosed with Colon Cancer, which has unfortunately advanced into her venous system. To make matters even more challenging, she has no close relatives in Dawson Creek, BC to support her, having recently lost her father to pancreatic cancer. Due to the aggressive nature of her disease, Michelle is required to undergo intensive chemotherapy treatments in Vancouver, taking her miles away from her son and the community she calls home.
The Financial Strain
While medical care is partially covered in BC, Canada, the costs of ongoing treatments, travel to Vancouver, lodging, and the reality of being unable to work full-time, are accumulating quickly. There are also many unforeseen medical expenses that aren't covered by public healthcare. Michelle is facing an uphill battle, not only against a severe medical condition but also against mounting financial pressures.
How Will the Funds Be Used?
Medical expenses not covered by insurance
Accommodation near the treatment center in Vancouver
Travel expenses to and from Vancouver for Michelle and her son
Daily living expenses as Michelle will be unable to work
Any other unexpected costs related to Michelle's healthcare and well-being
What Your Donation Means
Your generous donation will not just be a financial relief; it will be emotional support, a beacon of hope, and a demonstration of community spirit. It will mean that Michelle can focus on her treatments without the looming stress of financial ruin. It will mean that her son can see his mother without the barriers of financial constraints.
How Else Can You Help?
If you can't contribute financially, your prayers, your time, and your skills are just as valuable. Please share this campaign on social media, with your email contacts, and with anyone who might want to help. Every share gets us closer to our goal.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read Michelle's story. We are endlessly grateful for any support you can provide.
