Michelle Misko-Kampinga recovering from brain surgery.

My name is AJ Kampinga and I am Michelle's father-in-law. On 12/22/22 Michelle suffered a stroke that resulted in a car accident with her 4 month old baby Julia, right before Christmas.

Fortunately, baby Julia was unharmed while Michelle had to be admitted to ICU. At this time they discovered a brain malformation (AVM) and the goal was to watch it and determine the next steps. On 6/20/23 Michelle had another stroke and the plan was put in motion to perform brain surgery to remove the AVM. After consultation with her doctors, the brain surgery was performed the very next week. This was a very scary and challenging moment for all, especially Michelle.

The staff has taken such wonderful care of Michelle and we are so grateful.

Michelle is home and unable to work and the bills keep mounting. If you know Michelle, you have met one of the kindest people you will ever meet. She is always thinking about others and now we would appreciate any of you to think and support her if you can.

The cost of medical bills, lost wages, travel and unforeseen costs caused by the accident & the brain surgery is great. They also have bills for the extended professionals she needs.

Additionally, without Michelle’s income they still have a house note, general bills, car note and all the bills for daily living.
