Support Michelle’s Senior Year at Interlochen

Hello everyone,

My name is Michelle, and in 2022, my life changed in ways I had only ever dreamt about. My lifelong academic and artistic filmmaking work paid off, and I was accepted into Interlochen Arts Academy, one of the best art high schools in the nation.

I am so grateful of the opportunities being at Interlochen has provided me with, from working on an Oscar-qualifying short film with professionals to being nationally recognized as a top Hispanic student 4 times. I know now more than ever that I want to use filmmaking as a propeller for social change.

However, the tuition’s financial burden on my family is currently unmanageable and we need urgent support. Unfortunately, this year my father’s deteriorating health took a turn for the worse, leaving both him and my mother unemployed as she aids in his recovery.

My parents are currently faced with a daunting financial burden 3 times our current fundraising goal, which urgently needs to be settled to avoid any issues with my graduation.

They have reached out to the financial aid office at Interlochen, but unfortunately they cannot help further and we must complete a large payment incredibly soon.

I am appealing to your generosity and kindness to help support me and my family in this time of need. Your contribution and sharing of this fundraiser, no matter how “small,” can make a significant difference in helping me continue my education and pursue my passion for film. Thank you.
