Support for Baby Noah
Donation protected
While most babies arrive safely, unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Michelle Pankow, one of our team members at the CCC, was eagerly anticipating the birth of another grandchild. She was visiting her daughter Brittany in Yuma, AZ who was due on December 22nd. Sadly, on the 26th, something went terribly wrong and Brittany suffered a placental rupture. Thank the Good Lord, Brittany’s husband knew CPR and he was able to revive her and call the paramedics to get her to the local hospital. They delivered baby Noah, but he was not breathing and was flown to Banner Children’s Hospital in Mesa, AZ. Brittany lost a lot of blood and required two surgeries, so far, and is currently still hospitalized in Yuma where they are trying to address a heart issue that came about with rupture. Michelle traveled to Mesa to be near Noah. She’s been able to spend short periods of time with him. They have kept Noah under sedation and do not know what the extent of his brain injuries may be. They are doing an MRI today and see what brain activity he has. He’s currently unable to regulate his own body temperature, so the team in the NICU are doing that for him. When Brittany gets released, she and her husband and will go to Phoenix to be near Noah. Their three other children, who are 3, 4, and 5, are not able to go with them because of COVID. They were blessed by The Ronald McDonald House and are being provided a home near the hospital to stay at. The Ronald McDonald House will also provide meals and transportation to them while they are there. However, Brittany and her family are still facing an uphill battle with their son’s health and financial concerns with medical expenses and lost income. Many are asking what they can do to assist, so we’ve started a Go Fund Me page for Noah and his family. I know they would appreciate hearing from us and would be very grateful any donation you can share. We’ll update this page with additional information as we get it. Thank you all!
