Michelle's Kickin' Cancer Fund

This fund has been started in support of a dear friend, Michelle Cooksey Johnson, who is going be fighting breast cancer and will need our help.
Michelle is a life long friend to many people who adore her. She is a fiery redhead with cutting quick wit and a very strong woman - physically & mentally. She is an avid animal lover and the mother of a beautiful 15 year old girl, Maddie, who is everything to her.
This past November, Michelle found a lump in her breast. After a few doctor’s visits, she was formally diagnosed with ERPR Neg breast cancer on her 44th birthday. The emotional burden of fighting cancer will be challenging, especially with the financial load taking its toll. Michelle is a dental assistant for a small practice and currently does not have health insurance. She is working with Baptist Hospital for charitable funding but there are going to be many other costs associated with this battle.
This is where you and this fund come in. We are reaching out to Michelle’s supportive network of family and friends. Any donation will be a huge help to Michelle during the next few months.
A few examples of what the funds raised through this site will be used for:
-Bills and expenses while Michelle is out of work
-Prescription drugs
-Day to day expenses for Maddie
-Other unanticipated costs that come with this battle
When asked if she is afraid, she simply replied, “No”. Her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ is giving her the strength to fight this head on.
