Our dearest Michelle was involved in a climbing accident on November, 16th. While cleaning up her gear at The Wall at Indian Creek, another climber managed to rappel off the end of their rope, falling approximately 20 feet, landing on top of her head.
After a five hour rescue operation she was helicoptered to St. Mary’s in Grand Junction where it was revealed that she had skull fracture and a sub-dermal hematoma, aka, bleeding in her brain.
Luckily after many tests it was clear that her neck was not damaged and eventually the brain bleed did stabilize.
All this being said, our dear Michelle has spent five days in the hospital and will be spending weeks in bed recovering from this injury.
We are asking the community to help one of its own right now to help shoulder the enormous costs of this tragic accident and help get Michelle back on her feet and her hands! Thank you all so much for all the love and support for this badass woman!
Any extra funds raised will be donated to the search and rescue team that helped save her life!
