Africa Veterinary Volunteer Trip
Spende geschützt
"The fate of animals is of greater importance to me than the fear of appearing ridiculous; it is indissolubly connected with the fate of men."
- Emile Zola
The universe leads us . . .
This is a fundraising campaign for my travels and direct donations for veterinary philanthropy to Kenya, Africa in August. It will aide both local pets and wildlife.
I have been selected to join a group of veterinarians through Vet Treks working in combination with the African Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW). With the Vet Treks group, we will be vaccinating local dogs and cats against Rabies which is a significant issue there and educating the local people on the importance of spaying and neutering. This will be one of the first spay/neuter campaigns in Kenya from the US.
Afterward, I will go to the Maasai Mara to visit a photographic safari camp and see the wildlife in their native habitat. There are a lot of issues compromising the wildlife at this time. Their land is being encroached on by the population and development of human agricultural farms and losing the battle. Funds are needed to lease the land from the local people to ensure the wildlife have areas to migrate and live.
Grateful for any support!
Any veterinary pharamaceutical or medical supply donations can be dropped off at Ark Animal Hospital as well, thank you.
