Medical & Funeral Expenses for Michelle Wawczak

This GoFundMe is organized by me, Chris Scardina, one of Bradley Wawczak's childhood friends. Brad and I met in Boy Scouts over 40 years ago. Our home, Jen's and mine, hosted New Years Eve over 20 years ago where Michelle and Bradley got engaged. Brad has been the primary caretaker and earner for his family throughout nearly twenty years. Throughout this time his wife Michelle has gotten sicker.

Michelle faced an uphill battle with Crohn’s disease for the better part of her life. For many who do not know, Crohn’s is a brutal disease that absolutely plagued Michelle for nearly 30 years. Michelle was unable to truly maintain a healthy lifestyle balance in terms of nutrition, due to Crohn’s which often led her to face severe health related issues. She had countless visits to the hospital and often times they were lengthy stays. Although, she tried her best to overcome the many downfalls, she was unable to get to a point of great health to truly manage her disease.

She is survived by many that were close to her, but most importantly by her loving husband Bradley Wawczak, and the light of her life her daughter Giuliana.

Most unfortunately during this time, Brad has had to take countless days off over the course of Michelle’s sickness. He and his daughter need a bit of help ensuring they can recover from the loss the best that they can, from the person who was the glue in their lives that held their family together.

Most recently Michelle took a fall and wound up in the hospital. Bradley had to take an unpaid family medical leave from work to take care of Michelle and their daughter Giuliana.

Because of the medication which Michelle has taken for countless years, her bones became brittle. Due to unforeseen complications of Crohn’s Disease, she passed away on March 31,2024.

Michelle may be gone but she will never be forgotten.
