On September 21, 2025, the hearts of the Terwilliger family were shattered when Shelly and her beloved husband, Will, tragically lost their lives in a devastating house fire.

Shelly was more than a devoted sister, daughter, and friend—she was a lifelong educator who dedicated her career to serving students in the Cleveland Catholic Diocese. Most recently, she shared her gifts as a teacher at St. Stanislaus Elementary in Slavic Village, where she not only taught but also lived as a cherished member of the community. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her students touched countless lives.

As her family faces the unimaginable grief of this sudden loss, they are also burdened with the financial strain of funeral arrangements and the difficult task of removing what remains after the fire.
