Please Help Michelle!! Those that know Michelle Tassone, know she has advanced stage MS (Multiple Sclerosis ). Michelle and I have been friends since kindergarten at Julian Curtis School. She is in dire need of our help!! She lives with her elderly parents and now is all alone :(
Her brother Michael became very ill last week with Covid. He had a very high fever and sleep apnea. Tragically, he died at home 5 days ago. Then their parents (who look after Michelle) where showing symptoms - shaking and breathing difficulties - are now both hospitalized with Covid. They both have serious underlying health conditions and we are all extremely concerned, especially Michelle who is frail , weak and now all alone.
There are no funds for any excessive medical bills, food and burial or cremation for her brother Michael. This obviously was not expected! Michelle is having to not only carry the emotional burden, but the financial burden for her family under these extremely difficult circumstances. Michelle cannot drive, and has a very difficult time walking - even with her walker. As much as her friends would like to visit her and help, they are afraid of contracting Covid.
As of now, Michelle is asymptomatic with no signs of covid and we pray that it stays that way. The stress of losing her brother Michael and absence of her parents has sent her MS flaring. Please! Please! Help. We ( her friends & Family) need to let go of the pride and agree that financial support is needed now! This type of stress always exacerbates ANY underlying health condition.Michelle needs this money for her personal food, nutritional supplements, house cleaning & medical care while she is isolated at home
Her disability insurance does not cover any supplements or nutrition. The parents will have medical bills and Her brother Michael needs a proper burial. There is no insurance and sadly Michael leaves behind a 22 year old son, michael Jr.
As I write this, tears of sadness are streaming down my face with the thought of my best friend being alone. We had so many conversations of
"Who will take care of me?"
We thought it would be Michael. Unfortunately the Lord took him early.
I understand that we all are struggling in some way with whatever is happening in our world. If you are her childhood friend, a family friend,an old co-worker, a family member or have a heart with someone with MS I am asking you to please do what you can - $10, $20, $100. Our goal is $10,000 :)
This month a quote keeps circling in my head. "FOR THOSE MUCH IS GIVEN MUCH IS EXPECTED" If you can walk without a walker, if you can drive,if you can take a deep breath, if you have an income, food on the table, family around you,a Christmas tree, YOUR HEALTH...Then you are better off than most.
Please share this and pay it forward. Let's show Michelle and her mom and dad (Pat & Jean) the power of what true community, love and family is all about. I'll end with PLEASE Pray for Michelle and her family. There is power in prayer. May God Bless you and thank you in advance for your kindness
